かくしもつ【隠し持つ】

hide [conceal, 《文》 secrete] 《drugs》 《in one's luggage》; 【法】 conceal 《illicit substances》 about one's person; have 《a gun》 on one [in one's possession]; be carrying 《heroin》; be in possession of 《a weapon》.

●女はピストルをハンドバッグに隠し持っていた. The woman had a pistol (hidden) in her handbag. | The woman was carrying [had hidden] a pistol in her handbag.

・数名の生徒がかばんにナイフを隠し持っていた. Several students had (concealed) knives in their bags.

・捜索の結果, 自宅に大麻 1 キロを隠し持っているのが見つかりました. The search revealed that there was a kilogram of marijuana hidden in the house. | In the raid she was discovered to be in illegal possession of one kilogram of cannabis, which was hidden in her home.
